A quarter (23%) of Aussie children live in families where at least one parent has or had a mental illness and with the impacts on mental health from external environmental factors such as COVID- 19, floods and fires, an estimated 644,000 young people are currently in need of support.

About to celebrate their 20th anniversary, Kookaburra Kids currently support over 2,600 young people aged 8-18 years old, through camps, activity days and online connect session services. To meet the current demand of families in need across the country, additional resources are essential. Since their inception, the organisation has supported kids to engage over 8,000 times using a multi-layered service that is flexible to the changing and developing needs of young people.
